Information we Collect “Personally Identifiable Information” means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, home or other physical address, an email address, phone number or other contact information, whether at work or at home. Altia may collect your Personally Identifiable Information when you use our Services. For example, if you contact us in connection with your use of the Services, we may retain any Personally Identifiable Information you provide, such as your name and email address. If you order our products or services, we may retain any Personally Identifiable Information your provide, such as your shipping information. When you use the PanaVue application to view streaming video, you will be asked to enter a PIN. That PIN is sent to the Altia cloud where we authenticate the number you provided to locate the address of the camera and video stream you want to view. The streaming video is then sent directly to your device over the Internet. In order to provide this service, we may collect your device’s IP address, information about your device’s bandwidth, and other information about your device’s location and data or phone connectivity.
Altia also may automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page you request. We may ask you to select preferences in connection with your use of the Services. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of the features of our Services. Third parties may also collect Personally Identifiable Information you provide if, for example, you provide shipping or payment information to a third party provider in connection with any purchase of our products or services. Such third parties, and not Altia, are solely responsible for the use of any information you provide to them, and you are responsible for reviewing their privacy policies in connection with your provision of such information.
How we use the Information we Collect We may use information that we collect about you to: • deliver the products and services that you have requested; • manage your account and provide you with customer support; • communicate with you by e-mail, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile devices about our Services; • enforce our terms and conditions; • manage our business and • perform functions as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.
Information we Share or Disclose Altia does not rent, sell or share personal information it collects about you to or with third parties. Information collected from you is only used to support the Services and to comply with any requirements of law. Altia may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Altia or the Services; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of Altia; or (3) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Altia, its Services, or the public. If Altia should ever file for bankruptcy or merge with another company, we may share your Personally Identifiable Information with any company with whom we merge, or with other third parties who have a need to know such information in connection with the bankruptcy or merger.
Access You can update any information you provide to us by contacting us through our website at panacast.net/about. We will endeavor to make any such changes within three business days following our receipt of the request. You can make changes to certain camera settings through the web portal designated for camera configuration.
The Security of Your Information Altia protects the security of your information during transmission through our website by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input. When you stream video from a camera, the video is protected in one of two ways – at your election via the web portal. If you work at an organization, and only intend the video to be streamed to others at your organization, you can configure the camera such that the video is only accessible behind your internal firewall, or similar security features. If you want to grant access outside your organization, or do not have a firewall, you can configure the camera such that the video is only accessible through a VPN network, in which case we encrypt the traffic. With either configuration, any users who wish to access the video remotely will be required to enter a Personal Identification Number (“PIN”) that is associated with your camera.
You acknowledge that any Personally Identifiable Information that you share when you stream video, including information shared orally or visually, can be accessed by third parties who view the video, including those to whom you grant access, and any third parties who gain unauthorized access by circumventing the security measures identified above, or otherwise. You hereby acknowledge that information may be intercepted during transmission over the Internet and that Altia cannot and does not guarantee that the use of the Services is completely secure. You hereby agree to assume any and all risk associated with the unauthorized access to your information during transmission of such information over the Internet. International Transfers. Personal Information collected may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Altia or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using the Services, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
Children The Services are not intended for or directed to persons under the age of 13. Any person who provides their information to Altia through any part of the Altia Services represents to Altia that they are 13 years of age or older.
